I arrived to yesterday Turku and will spend my holidays here, like every year. Since i'm the days at my parents home, we will have a very traditional, beautiful Finnish Christmas, the way i have spent it for the last 24 years. My Christmas for you board is more simple and neutral than our home decorations will be tomorrow.
We have all the preparations ready as of today, so tomorrow we're just going to relax and enjoy, decorate the Christmas tree and enjoy dinner and time together with the family.
HOLIDAY TARTS: Kurma Gooseberry tarts spotted on Pure Vegetarian by Lakshmi. If you are vegetarian like me, seek inspiration from that blog!
OUR TREE: Simple, a bit sad looking pine tree looks so pretty in a glass vase by Fryd
ORNAMENTS: Find all these beautiful ornaments on Anthropologie's web store.
HOLIDAY DECOR: pines and votives on our blog. Cup cake light spotted on Real Simple
TABLE DECOR: Mariskooli is a Finnish serving dish designed by Marimekko, a world known brand. Every year we decorate the dining table with the Mariskooli -dishes. Beautiful centerpieces spotted on Emmas blog, styled by Olof Jakobina
GIFT WRAPPING: Kraft paper is my favorite packaging material, also for gift wrapping. This DIY on Man Made shows how to make a typographic gift wrap.
HOLIDAY DINNER: Finnish Christmas dinner is very rich including a variation of different kind of cheeses. I would love my dinner table to look like this one on the Polka Dot Bride
A GIFT FOR ME: In our family we don't usually give a lot of gifts. The cardigan from Scotch & Soda would be perfect for the upcoming winter (no, it still hasn't really arrived yet). Also the iPhone case from Society6 would take good care of my Phone.
I wish you all a beautiful and relaxing holidays together with your loved ones.
